Bring Your Own Device

UCHSK is a BYOD school.  We are very excited about the learning opportunities BYOD offers students with current evidence showing that the use of BYOD has great value in deepening and enriching personalised, student-centred learning.  All UCHSK students who opted into the ACT Governments Technology Enabled Learning program have been issued with a Chromebook for school use.  Any students wishing to opt in can do so by completing a Chromebook Acceptance Form. Students and their parents must also complete and return a signed ICT Acceptable Use Student and Parent permission document before students can participate in the school’s use of the BYOD program. Students are also reminded that they are responsible for managing the battery life of their personal electronic devices and should ensure that devices are fully charged for the duration of the school day, before bringing them to school. Schools are not responsible for access to BYOD charging facilities. A mobile phone cannot be used as a personal device for school purposes. Further information on BYOD policy can be found on the ACT ETD website.
