Kaleen High School Indigenous Cultural Day and 30th Anniversary
Thursday 4th December 10am-8:30pm
A day of celebration and fun with two dimensions:
Firstly, for schools from the Ginninderra cluster to particiapte in Indigenous Cultural day activities and share a BBQ lunch together.
Secondly, the formal signing of the Ginninderra Schools' Cluster and Indigenous Community Partnership, followed by an Indigenous performance, the launch of the Instrumental Music Program lodger unit at Kaleen High School (commencing 2009), special guests - Jon Fowlie, Michael Milton, Petria Thomas, before the Kaleen High School Principal, Denis Dickinson, launches the new school logo and motto.
After these formalities, there will be various displays, band performances and petting zoo on the school farm before we conclude the day with a Community BBQ and a (13 years and under) community disco.

THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS - films from the Other Film Festival
films by, with and about people with a disability
This is a fun filled night in celebration of International Day of People with a Disability (held annually on 3 December). The event is generously supported by FaHCSIA and DHCS and is being hosted in partnership with ACT Arts Ability and the National Gallery of Australia. There will be a selection of short films from the Other Film Festival (a biannual international film festival held in Melbourne, see http://www.otherfilmfestival.com/ for more info) to Canberra for the first time ever!
The event is free, will be held at the beautiful National Gallery of Australia AND there will be free wine and canapes on arrival! The films are suitable for people of all ages and the formal proceedings should start approximately 6pm but come earlier and have a drink - just make sure people RSVP to the contact on this flyer if they have any questions. For those that are interested, the event is fully accessible so people of all abilities are welcome!!
