P & C

Kaleen High School is fortunate to have an active P&C body who spend a lot of time and effort in contributing to the success of Kaleen High School. The Kaleen High School P&C Association gives all parents and carers, the opportunity to have their say on events and issues in the school community and to build partnerships with the school. This maximizes the educational experience and outcomes for all students.

The P&C gives feedback to the Board and seeks their advice and direction on school management matters such as Security. Parent representatives on the Board report to and take an active part in P&C meetings.

The P&C operates the school canteen profits are used to purchase equipment and materials for the school. Other fundraising events are the Trivia and Concert nights, and the Annual Fete Car Boot Sale. Parental help is essential to the School maintaining its high standards in Sports, Music, Languages and academic subject areas. Looking forward to your participation in school activities.

Last year, our fundraising, particularly our successful car boot sale, allowed the purchase of new textbooks for Year 7 and Year 8 maths classes, and future replacement of texts for Years 9 and 10 in the next two years.  Last year we were fortunate in securing a $10,000 grant to allow redesign and replanting of a grassy woodland garden at the front of the school which is looking great.

Financial Contributions from Families

Voluntary Contributions - Are vital to the maintenance of a quality education for your child across all subject areas. Departmental funding for the provision of these types of learning resources and materials is minimal and doesn’t cover the need. Voluntary contributions in a subject pays for ingredients, timber, paint, fabric, clay, chemicals (for photography) and other  materials used for these subjects. General voluntary contributions support the purchase of a range of school needs from furniture to photocopy paper.

Library Trust Fund contributions - Contributions purchase books, teaching and learning resources and are Tax Deductible.
